Financial Links From Early 2000s Now Under Investigation at Ohio State

Ohio State Reviews Historical Financial Links Between Epstein and Medical Faculty Member

Ohio State University has confirmed it is examining a financial arrangement dating back roughly two decades involving payments from Jeffrey Epstein to a senior physician affiliated with its medical system.

The physician, Mark B. Landon, reportedly received approximately $100,000 annually during the early 2000s. In prior statements, Landon said the payments were tied to consulting work related to potential biotechnology investments.

University representatives have declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing nature of the review. A spokesperson noted that Landon is cooperating fully but that no additional comment will be made at this stage.

Landon has stated that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s illegal conduct and emphasized that he did not provide medical care to Epstein or individuals associated with him.

Connections Draw Broader Attention

The matter has attracted additional scrutiny due to Landon’s professional ties to Les Wexner, a prominent business figure who previously maintained a long-standing relationship with Epstein.

Wexner has consistently denied awareness of Epstein’s activities and has described himself as having been misled in their financial dealings. Despite these statements, his past association with Epstein continues to draw attention, particularly given their financial relationship and proximity over many years.

A recently filed lawsuit in New York alleges that Wexner may have played a role in funding Epstein’s activities. These claims remain subject to legal proceedings and have not been proven in court.
